JKEDI holds series of awareness programs in Budgam

Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) conducted a series of Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs (EAPs) in different villages of Budgam district wherein more than 280 youth participated.

JKEDI holds a series of awareness programs at Budgam.

“The awareness programs were conducted at Arigam Khansahib, Magam, Chadoora and Ohangam Beerwah areas of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district. The awareness programs were held in collaboration in collaboration with the Tehsil Office, Magam, and Nehru Yuva Kendra Budgam. (NYK) Budgam to provide the participants an insight into the world of entrepreneurship and make them aware of different government schemes available to help the educated unemployed youth earn their livelihood,” an official statement said.

“During these EAPs, JKEDI District Nodal Officer, Budgam, Dr. Naila Khanday and Ahsan Qadir, Faculty delivered motivational lectures regarding entrepreneurship and self-employment. SDM Beerwah and Tehsildar Magam were part of the interactive sessions held during the awareness programs,” the statement said.

“The EAPs are part of the awareness campaign of JKEDI for the remote pockets of district Budgam so that the educated unemployed youth are made aware of the beneficial schemes of the State and Central government regarding entrepreneurship and self-employment,” the statement added.

“The Institute through its awareness programs intends to reach out to the educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir and provide them a platform where they can succeed collectively. In the EAPs the participants were acquainted with the realities of labour market in the State along with the scope of entrepreneurship development and self-employment in various sectors of the State economy,” an official statement said.
