Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) today organized an awareness camp for educated un-employed youth at Dooru Islamabad.

SDM Doru, EO Municipal Committee Doru, Officers of JKEDI, Employment & Counseling Center Islamabad and other affiliated Departments, besides a large number of un-employed educated youth of Doru constituency attended the camp.

On the occasion, speakers highlighted the work of JKEDI in encouraging culture of entrepreneurship in the State. It was said that till date JKEDI helped in setting up of 55 income generating units in Islamabad district for which the Institute provided finance of Rs 3.3 crore to the beneficiaries.

Further, it was said that the JKEDI organises orientation training programme for 8th class to Higher Secondary pass outs under skill development initiative and for establishment of their own units.

On the occasion, it was given out that a training programme of 40 candidates shall be held in Doru during which they would be acquinted with necessary skill development expertise.
