District Development Commissioner Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad, today chaired a meeting to take a comprehensive review of various developmental projects being executed under various sectors in the district.

The DDC exhorted the officers to ensure time bound completion of all ongoing developmental works and called for work in double-shifts to achieve set physical and financial targets.

Among others, officers of the district administration, engineers from various wings and other concerned attended the meeting.

On the occasion, the DDC was informed that up to ending January 2017, about 80.3 percent of the total funds were expended. The meeting was further told that under PMGSY 13 developmental projects have been sanctioned in the district.

During the meeting, the DDC also reviewed progress made under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes including MGNREGA, IAY, NHM, RMSA, SSA, PHE and PMGSY, besides various schemes of PDD including Deen Dayal Upadhayay Gram Jyoti Yojana.

He directed the concerned to ensure timely completion of all the works taken up under convergence with MGNREGA, besides PHE and Irrigation & Flood Control Department projects.

Later, the DDC reviewed functioning of Doodhpatri and Yousmarg Development Authorities under Swadesh Darshan Scheme.

He also reviewed implementation of Chief Minister’s decisions which she made during her visits to the district.
