Condemning the ongoing violations in Kashmir, chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Friday said that “Killings, a spree of arrests, burning, blasting, vandalizing residential houses, beating and humiliating men, women, and children are glaring examples of violations in the garb of democracy.

The spokesman said that JKLF leaders and activists today staged a peaceful protest at Lal Chowk against unabated aggression in Kashmir. Various Leaders and activists of JKLF gathered at Madina Chowk Lal Chowk and staged a peaceful protest. JKLF leaders including Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Muhammad Yasin Butt, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Professor Javed, Ashraf bin Salam, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, and others along with people from many walks of life held a protest demonstration.

Displaying placards and raising anti-governmental slogans protesters condemned the ongoing violations in Kashmir. JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said that Indian colonial forces and authorities under operation all-out plan have expedited “genocide” of Kashmiris and on daily basis Kashmiri youth are falling to the bullets and bombs of the government forces who have been given a free hand to “slaughter, mutilate, maim and target” humans in Kashmir.

He said that burning down bodies of those killed, dragging their corpses, shelling on their funerals, burning down and vandalizing their residential houses and properties of those in resistance as was done recently at Nazneenpora Shupian and Kulgam, beating, torturing and humiliating common people including men, women, children, elderly and youth during crackdowns has become a order of the day.
