Hundreds of people hailing from various walks of life joined the 48-hour long hunger strike led by the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik at Maisuma in Srinagar.

Those who are attending the strike including JKLF workers, families of victims, APDP activists, students, representatives of Sikh and Pandit communities, members of High Court Bar Association and political workers.

The strike is aimed at raising voice for return of mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, withdrawal of life imprisonment awarded to 32 Kashmiris, providing of information about missing persons, probe into unmarked graves, punishing to troops and paratroopers involved in Machil fake encounter and killings of civilians during 2010 uprising and release of all detained Kashmiris.
