The Checking Squad of Department of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) seized 16 trucks of sheep and goat last night in Islamabad.
On the instructions of Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Kashmir, Assistant Director of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Islamabad forwarded these seized trucks to different districts in the Valley so that the local administration of these districts ensures availability of meat at the prices fixed by the government at their respective places.
According to a government spokesman checking squads have been asked to intensify market checking for ensuring availability of meat to the consumers at government fixed rates in the Valley.
