SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) unveiled its Annual Calendar–2026 at a function held in Srinagar, highlighting the contribution of mechanical engineers to public service and infrastructure development in the Union Territory.
The calendar was released in the presence of Chief Engineer, Mechanical and Hospital Engineering Department (MHED), Kashmir, Er Bodraj, and Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Public Health Engineering (PHE), Er Rakesh Kumar Gupta, along with JKMEGA president Er Firdous Ahad Bhat and senior members of the association.
A large number of engineers attended the event, including Superintending Engineer IFC Circle Srinagar, Er Manmohan Singh, and Superintending Engineer PHE Mechanical (North), Er Mohammed Iqbal Kirmani, besides Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers and field staff.
The Calendar–2026 features photographs depicting key public services delivered by the Mechanical Engineering wing, underscoring its role in infrastructure creation and public welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, JKMEGA president Er Firdous Ahad Bhat said the calendar reflects the dedication and commitment of mechanical engineers in public service and reaffirmed the association’s resolve to meet the evolving demands of a modern and mechanised environment.
The association dedicated the calendar to Superintending Engineers (Mechanical) Er Jatin Kamal and Er Ajay Sharma in recognition of their services on the occasion of their superannuation. Speakers recalled their contributions to public service, with special reference to Er Jatin Kamal’s professional achievements and personal qualities.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Engineers paid tributes to the retired officers and highlighted the vital role of engineers in nation-building, reiterating their commitment to improving service delivery and public welfare.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed pledge towards professionalism, integrity and excellence in public service.
