Jammu Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC)  has earned revenue of Rs 36 crore during last financial year while the revenue targets for current financial year were fixed at Rs 40 crore. This was stated in 87th Board of Directors meeting of the Corporation, held under the Chairmanship of Minster for Tourism, Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Wednesday

The meeting reviewed physical and financial achievements registered by the Corporation during last financial year and current fiscal so far besides threadbare discussion and appropriate decisions taken on several matters pertaining to make the Corporation more vibrant and commercial.

The meeting discussed matters like consideration and approval of provisional balance sheet and profit and loss account, enhancement of Dearness Allowances, enhancement of Gratuity to the employees, rectification of Pay Anomaly, regularisation of temporarily workers, out sourcing of assets, confirmation of promotions of the employees and other decisions for success of the Corporation.

Mir  exhorted upon the Corporation employees to work with dedication and for making the Corporation more vibrant and commercial. He underscored the need for providing better boarding and lodging facilities to the tourists and impressed upon the concerned authorities to ensure time bound completion of the on-going projects at different tourist spots for upgradation of accommodation facilities. He assured the Corporation employees that all their genuine demands would be mitigated in due course of time.
