Reiterating the commitment of National Conference for solidarity, brotherhood, equitable and inclusive development of all the regions and sub-regions of the State and bringing political stability to ensure peace and prosperity, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah who is also Working President of National Conference Wednesday said that public service is the one point agenda of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference.
“Our political credentials clearly speak of NC’s sincerity towards the State and its people. We have always kept interests of the public and the State above all considerations and withstood tests of time successfully in this regard”, he said and praised the motivation, commitment and selfless service of National Conference workers to the people of the State even in challenging and hard times.
“You have exhibited your courage to carry forward the agenda of National Conference and the legacy of Sher-i-Kashmir, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah despite many challenges. Your sacrifices for the cause of people are enormous. These are well documented in the annals of history”, he told the Block Presidents, Block Secretaries and other office bearers of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference District Committee Baramulla in an interaction session here this evening and asked them to be firm on their foot to achieve the stupendous goal of peaceful, progressive and educated Jammu and Kashmir.
Omar asked the workers to continue their efforts for bringing permanent peace in the State and ensuring all round development.
“You should reach out to people in all the areas of the State telling them about the historic initiatives taken by NC-led coalition government in the State for empowering common people, restoring peace and stability and moving forward on road towards economic prosperity”, he told the workers saying that they have a large list of achievements before them achieved by the Government in all the sectors in the State during the four and a half years to reckon with and making masses aware of the policy programmes of National Conference for peace and development and political stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
