SRINAGAR
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Tuesday fielded senior Journalist Zaffar Meraj from Habba Kadal constituency in Srinagar.
Sources said, the decision in this regard was taken late last evening in a party meeting.
Editor in Chief of daily Kashmir Monitor, Zaffar, hails from Zaina Kadal area of the old city.
Before launching his own daily from Srinagar, Zaffar, has worked with many reputed media organizations like India Today, Outlook, Kashmir Times etc.
Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls are scheduled to begin on November 25.
