SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of the Jammu Division between May 17 and May 23 due to maintenance works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, power supply to Bishnah, Chak Hasla, Rehal Pandorian, Kheri, Nandpur, Ramgarh, Kamore, Rangoor, Abtal, Nanga, Shahpur and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 18 from 6 am to 12 noon.
Similarly, Jakh, Jogpur, Sarore, Patli Industry and adjoining areas will face a power cut on May 18 from 6 am to 1 pm.
Power supply to Billawar, Mandi, Dewal, Pranalla, Tandi, Macheedi, Bhaddu, Kudethar and adjoining areas will be affected on May 17, 19, 21 and 23 from 7 am to 3 pm.
In another schedule, Banihal, Ramsoo, Ukhral, Khari, Gund, Nowgam, Sherbibi, Pogal Paristan, Assar, Baggar, Marsoo, Thandapani, Siraj, Patnitop, Nathatop, Doordarshan, Gandola and adjoining areas will face a shutdown on May 18 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Bhalla, Bhaderwah, Dallian and adjoining areas will also face power interruption on May 18 from 9 am to 4 pm.
Urban areas including Dogra Hall, Rehari, Resham Ghar Colony, Bus Stand, Jewel, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, Jakeeth Mohalla, Kanak Mandi, Manda, New Plot, Sarwal, part of Karan Nagar and nearby locations will be affected on May 18 from 7 am to 12 noon.
Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua, has informed that Keerain Industry, Gandyal, Ramnagar and adjoining areas will face power shutdowns on May 17 and 20 from 7 am to 1 pm.
