SRINAGAR: Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Friday visited the forward areas of Poonch and Naushera to review the prevailing security situation and assess the operational readiness of deployed troops.
During the visit, the Army Commander interacted with troops on the ground and was briefed on the security environment and recent counter-terror operations in the region. He complimented all ranks on the successful execution of operations and acknowledged their morale and commitment.
Lt Gen Sharma also urged personnel to maintain strict vigilance along the Line of Control, adopt proactive security measures, and uphold high standards of conduct.
The visit comes amid heightened alert in the border areas following recent security developments. (JKNS)
