SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has issued a schedule of planned power shutdowns affecting multiple areas across the Jammu division from December 12 onwards to facilitate maintenance works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), electricity supply to Upper Barnai, Lower Muthi, Paloura, JK Colony, Chandan Vihar, PHE Roop Mahar, MES Rajouri Lines, Patoli, BSF Paloura and adjoining areas will remain suspended on December 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On the same day, Biaspur, Kotli, Kalyana Sai Kalan, Khanachak, Abdullian, Nikowal, Salehar, Khour, Rathana, Jinder Mehlu, Makhanpur, Kool Kalian and neighbouring localities will face outages from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Power supply to Gandoh, Changa, Bhatyas and surrounding areas will be affected on December 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jourian, Krangi, Burmal and nearby areas will face shutdowns on December 13, 15 and 17 during the same hours.
Additionally, Suhagpur, Arnia, Allah, Chak Shera, Treva, Jabowal, Jabal Kotli, BSF (BOP), Mulay Chak, Kotli Bishnah, Chak Hasla, Rehal, Pandorian, Mehmoodpur, Sarore, Bishnah Hospital, Kheri, Nandpur, Swankha, Adlehar, Baba Chamliyal, Jearda, Ramgarh, Kamore, Rangoor, Abtal, Nanga, Dadyal, S.M. Pura, Mahaal, Kunjwai, Bandurakh, Seora, Shahpur and adjoining areas will experience outages on December 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Furthermore, Shahzadpur, Marh, Gajansoo, Gho Manhasan and surrounding areas will remain without power on December 14 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., while Panihad, Prori, Peeri, Rehan and adjoining areas will face a shutdown on December 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer, O&M Circle-III JPDCL Batote, has informed that Bali Nallah, Sharda Mata, Upper Bali and Ladda will face daily outages from December 12 to 15, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
JPDCL said the shutdowns are essential for strengthening and upgrading the power supply system.
