SRINAGAR: Government Degree College Baramulla is inviting applicants for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Water Management and Department of Environmental Science.

The research study will involve working on the project “Investigating climatic and anthropogenic impact on the groundwater quality of shallow aquifers along the flood plains of River Jhelum, Kashmir Himalaya,” sanctioned by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).

The application deadline is April 7, 2024. The duration of the project is two years.

For eligibility, the applicant must have a postgraduate degree in Environmental Science/Water Management and be qualified in NET (National Eligibility Test) or any national-level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions.

Preference will be given to those with experience in the field of Groundwater/RSGIS.

The selected applicant will receive a monthly emolument of ₹31,000/- plus 8% HRA for the first two years.
