The Joint Resistance Leadership on Monday staged a protest demonstration at Abi Guzar in Srinagar against the killing of three civilians killed by the army in Hawoora village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Scores of JRL leaders and activists assembled in Abi Guzar area of Srinagar and protested against the killings.
The protesting leaders tried to march towards Ghanta Ghar but a large posse of police intercepted the protesters near Central market Abi Guar and detained many of them.
Three civilians including a teenage girl were killed by Army in Hawoora village of Redwani in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Sources said people flocked in large numbers at their houses to express sympathies with the bereaved families.
