All the major Hurriyat amalgams including JKLF have decided to take out a joint march on Martyrs’ Day (July 13) from Jamia Masjid to the Martyrs’ graveyard at Naqshbad Sahib in Khanyar area. There will be no hartal in view of the approaching Eid-Ul-Fitr.

Sources said that a joint meeting of members from Hurriyat led by octogenarian Syed Ali Geelani, members from Mirwaiz Umar Farooq led Hurriyat and members from Yasin Malik led JKLF converged at a neutral place in Srinagar on Wednesday and they decided to chalk out a joint program in remembrance of the 1931 Martyrs.

Sources revealed that there have been many meeting in run up to this meeting and all the separatist leaders have decided to march from historic Jamia Masjid to the martyrs graveyard.

“People have been asked to reach Jamia Masjid where a protest rally shall be taken out towards Naqshband sahib,” a Hurriyat activist said.
