Unauthorized encroachments on Kahcharai land are being removed by revenue officers particularly Assistant Commissioners and Tehsildars in exercise of the powers vested in them under Sec-133 of the Land Revenue Act.
The information was given by the Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Ajaz Ahmed Khan in Legislative Assembly.
In another question by Javed Ahmad Rana, the Minister informed the House that a high level committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Financial Commissioner, Revenue to see how the PRCs format would be digitized to eliminate faking and maintaining true record of each issued PRC. He further stated that non-state subjects are not allowed to make temporary or permanent structures in the state as per the existing laws of the State. He said there are no reports regarding permanent settlements of non-state subjects in the State; however, some are reported to be temporary residing in the state only for business purposes.
