Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the incident in which a BJP member reportedly exhibited unruly behaviour and tried to assault the minister for social welfare Sakina Itoo.
In a statement the party president and leader of the party in the assembly Mehbooba Mufti said the incident is against parliamentary decorum and lowers the prestige and image of the house. Such incidents, she said, should be avoided even in face of provocations to promote tolerance in the house and decency in debate.
