Kakpora Killing: Two Youth Injured, Shifted to Srinagar

In the on-going clashes in parts of Pulwama district in South Kashmir, two youth were injured and were consequently referred to Srinagar.

Reports said that Latief Ahmad, resident of Lalhaar, Kakpora and another youth identified as Amir Ahmad Bhat, s/o Abdul Rashid Bhat, r/o Ratnipora got injured in the violent clashes in the area.

Clashes erupted in the area after the killing of a local militant, Talib Afzal Shah, on Thursday in Astan Mohall, Kakpora.

“They have been shifted to Srinagar hospital for treatment,” a witness said.

Reports added that youth pelted stones on the armed forces while tear gas shells were fired to contain the situation.
