Expressing deep concern over the use of unparliamentary language by legislators, Peoples Democratic Party member Advocate Abdul Haq Wednesday said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are laughing over the irresponsible behaviour of law makers.

“Video clips are available on Youtube which depict how a lawmaker hurls volley of abuses and uses unparliamentary language in the sacred House. We are feeling ashamed of ourselves when people talk in open about our irresponsible behaviour,” Haq told Speaker before the start of Question Hour.

He said people are taunting us and advice others to check Kalam-i-Akbari on Youtube to gain first hand information about the lawmakers of the State.

Pointing towards Higher Education Minister, Haq said that the minister labeled him as a militant. “How dare he to label me as a militant when everyone knows from past two decades I am a practiced lawyer. Such comment are uncalled for and should be expunged,” Haq demanded.

Speaker, Mubarak Gul assured him that if NC legislator Muhammad Akbar Lone has uttered such comments, they would be expunged.

Pertinently, Muhammad Akbar Lone hurled choicest abuses on PDP member Molvi Iftikar Hussain Ansari when he was the Speaker of the House.
