Paying tributes to the Hazrat Fatima (RA), Hazrat Ali (RA), Karbala martyrs, Imam Hussein (AS) and his accomplices and family, Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday said the sacrifices of Karbala martyrs would be remembered till the judgment day.
As per a local news agency, KNS, Mirwaiz said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) along with his family members preferred martyrdom to surrender before the tyrannical forces.
On Ashura, Mirwaiz said Qarbala teaches us that people should never forsake principles for pecuniary benefits and other personal interests.
“We should continue our struggle with firm resolve and determination for realizing the objective of our just cause,” he added.
He said the Karbala taught the whole humanity to rise against the suppression and oppression. “Karbala also shows that those people who sacrifice their lives on the path of truth ultimately win,” Mirwaiz said.
Hurriyat (M) Chairman said Kashmiris would never give up their fight for righteousness and freedom till they achieve it. He said faith and continuity of the struggle till reaches its success is the first principal of the Hussainyat.
