Kargil coldest place in Kashmir @ minus 1.5 degrees

The weather conditions across the state will remain dry and cloudy for the next 24 hours, officials at MET Department informed.

Meanwhile, the cloud cover has led to increase in night temperatures throughout the Valley, officials said.

There is a forecast of snow in the hills and light rain in the plains on Friday.

The night temperature in Srinagar was recorded 1.8 degrees Celsius, 1.0 in Gulmarg and 1.8 in Pahalgam on Thursday.

However, the temperature in Kargil was the lowest at 1.5 degrees while it was minus 0.3 in Leh.
