Doctors at District Hospital Kargil on Monday saved the lives of two tourists who had met with an accident at different locations in Kargil.

The injured tourist identified as Parveen Singh, from Lukhnow met with an accident some 20 km away from Kargil while coming from Drass and he was shifted to district hospital Kargil in a critical condition.

The timely intervention and transmission of 4 points of blood by the volunteers of Add Blood Save Life Volunteers of Kargil, Baseej,  Al Reza,  from Poyen and Goma Kargil have saved the precious life of the tourist.

The patient is in stable condition lying at ICU DHK has thanked the Doctors, ICU Staff and volunteers for the help.

Another tourist, T T Bhutia, a resident of Sikkim who met with an accident at Wakha while traveling to Kargil from Leh on a motorcycle and was immediately shifted to district hospital Kargil with an injury to Hand and Deep injury to perianal Region and bled profusely.

The doctors immediately operated him and within hours after a successful operation he was shifted to POW and is out of danger now.

Father of the injured T T Bhutia, Rtd Col. D N Bhutia who is Chief Administrative Officer at Indian Himalayan Center for Adventure and Eco-Tourism Sikkim, appreciated the efforts of the doctors and paramedic staffs of District Hospital Kargil.

Blood Bank Officer DHK Dr Haji Mohammad Ali highly appreciated the volunteers and donors who came forward in such situation.
