SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday paid tribute to the soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War, saying their sacrifice in defence of the country’s sovereignty and honour will continue to inspire generations.
In a message on Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Lieutenant Governor said he bowed to those who made the supreme sacrifice during Operation Vijay, describing the courage of the armed forces as an enduring source of inspiration.
“The extraordinary courage of our Armed Forces will forever inspire generations to come,” Sinha said.
He also paid tribute to the families of the fallen soldiers, saying their selfless dedication remains an enduring symbol of national pride.
“Their selfless dedication remains an enduring symbol of our ultimate national pride,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
