LUCKNOW: FIL Industries Private Limited, a prominent player in agriculture, food processing, and diversified sectors, participated in the 16th Edition of Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) AgroTech India – Krishi Bharat, held from 15-18 November 2024 at Vrindavan Grounds, Lucknow. The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath.
Themed Harvesting Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture , the event served as a global platform for showcasing advancements in agro-technology. It featured exhibitions, knowledge sessions, and opportunities to foster partnerships in agriculture and food processing. FIL Industries participated as an associate sponsor, presenting its comprehensive capabilities in the agriculture value chain, including crop protection, crop nutrition, post-harvest management, and FMCG offerings. Visitors received samples of FIL’s apple juice concentrate, fruit juices, cocoa powder, and agricultural products.
A highlight of the event was the International Pavilion, with the Netherlands as the partner country. This initiative facilitated networking and collaborations between Indian stakeholders and international players in agriculture and food processing.
Syed Junaid Altaf, Chairman, CII J&K, and Group Executive Director, FIL Industries, represented the company at the event. He participated in the inaugural session and the CEO Roundtable on “Future of Farming,” where industry leaders and policymakers discussed the role of precision agriculture, artificial intelligence, IoT, and sustainable farming practices.
Speaking at the forum, Altaf remarked, “CII AgroTech Krishi Bharat is a great platform for the farming community and industry to collaborate. Coming from Jammu and Kashmir, where horticulture drives the economy, it is an opportunity to learn from peers and adopt best practices. Agriculture is a long-term endeavour, and we must address challenges posed by climate change collaboratively, involving industry, academia, and farmers. Our aim is to reduce risks for farmers and enhance agricultural productivity.”
