SRINAGAR: Srinagar-based Chinar Quantum AI (CQAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Christ University, Bengaluru, to establish a Quantum Hub aimed at advancing research, innovation, training and entrepreneurship in quantum technologies.

The partnership, formalised at Christ University’s Kengeri Campus, seeks to create a collaborative ecosystem focused on specialised quantum training programmes, internships, startup incubation, research and development, and industry-academia engagement. The initiative is expected to contribute to the objectives of India’s National Quantum Mission by promoting innovation in advanced technologies.
As part of the implementation of the agreement, CQAI and Christ University jointly organised a two-day “Quantum Convergence Workshop” on June 17 and 18, bringing together students, researchers and faculty members to explore emerging developments in Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Post-Quantum Cryptography and Cybersecurity.
According to the organisers, the workshop was designed to provide participants with exposure to cutting-edge research and innovation opportunities in technologies increasingly viewed as critical to future economic growth and national security.
The event featured keynote and technical sessions by Dr Rukhsan Ul Haq, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientist of CQAI, and GB Alex, Chief Innovation Officer of the company. The speakers highlighted emerging opportunities in Quantum AI, Quantum Computing, quantum-safe security solutions and deep-tech entrepreneurship.
Officials associated with the initiative said the collaboration would strengthen links between academia and industry while helping build a skilled workforce capable of contributing to India’s growing quantum technology ecosystem.
The partnership is being viewed as a notable milestone for Kashmir’s technology sector, with a Srinagar-based company taking a leading role in developing advanced research and innovation platforms in collaboration with a major higher education institution.
