The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCC&I) under the Chairmanship of Javid Ahmad Tenga convened a meeting with representatives of leading automobile dealerships of the state for discussing problems faced by this sector and sought suggestions for bringing transparency to this sector.

The sector, spokesman said was represented by Irfan Ahmad Narwaroo, MD Jamkash Vehicleades and other members.

Spokesman said various problems like online registration of vehicles, cumbersome process for issuance of Driving Licenses and for passing of vehicles were discussed in detail. Several suggestions were put forth by the experts. The filing of a Public Interest Litigation in the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir seeking quashment of orders seeking assisted registration of vehicles by dealers was deliberated upon.

Tenga President, spokesman said assured the stakeholders that his organization would be exploring the possibility of becoming a party in the matter with the view of assisting the Hon’ble High Court for bringing transparency in government policies and convenience to the general public and consumers.
