Srinagar
Authorities on Saturday closed the Srinagar-Jammu highway following the fresh snowfall in Kashmir valley.
An official said that due to the accumulation of snow at various places, the vehicular movement on Srinagar-Jammu highway has been suspended till the weather improves.
The decision to allow the traffic movement will be taken subjected to the fair weather situation. Meanwhile, the historic Mughal road and Srinagar-Sonamarg, Gumri road remained also remained closed for the traffic movement.
Pertinently, after a fresh spell of snowfall all over the valley, the meteorological department of Kashmir have predicted snow and rains till January 13, 2018.
