Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has said the relations between Pakistan and India cannot improve unless Kashmir issue is resolved.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan, he said Kashmir dispute is a fundamental issue between the two countries. “Pakistan has always welcomed mediation offers and expressed its readiness to find a way for resolution of Kashmir dispute.”
“It is unfortunate that efforts to resolve the issue in past have remained unsuccessful,” he said.
Basit further stated Pakistan has always supported the right of self-determination for Kashmiri people.
