Hundreds of Kerosene dealers of Srinagar held a protest demonstration against the union government’s move to cut down Kashmir’s Kerosene share.unnamed

Raising slogans of “justice”, the dealers demanded roll back of the order curtailing Kashmir’s Kerosene share by over 18 lakh litres per month.

Pertinently, Union Oil Ministry had earlier ordered a cut down of over 18 lakh litres in Kerosene to valley this month. Though, the CAPD director is on record saying that the Union Ministry had already allotted more Kerosene to valley last month.

The protesting dealers said that the move of the ministry is against the interests of people. “The move is condemnable,” they said.

The dealers said that valley is already going through electricity cuts and people are in need of Kerosene post devastative floods.

The dealers had also brought local Band (Drum beaters) to make their appeal strong.
