National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah Monday convened a meeting of the NC Core Group at his residence in Srinagar.
“The routine Core Group Meeting which is convened at frequent intervals by the party was held to discuss the current political situation in the State,” a party statement said.
“The meeting was chaired by NC Working President Omar Abdullah and attended by Senior NC Leaders including NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Abdul Rahim Rather, Mohammad Shafi Uri, Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan, Mian Altaf Ahmed, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Provincial President Kashmir Nasir Aslam Wani and Provincial President Jammu Devender Singh Rana”, the statement added.
“Various aspects of the current political situation were discussed in the meeting,” the party statement said.
During the meeting, the statement said, “Omar Abdullah asked Senior Party Leaders to ensure that party leaders and representatives remain at the service of the common masses and leave no stone unturned in seeking the timely redressal of public issues”.
