SRINAGAR: The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Kashmir Life has been restored after being withheld for over a fortnight. The account, which has over 293,000 followers, was taken down on May 11 following a legal demand, as indicated by a platform generated message.
Kashmir Life, a Srinagar based media organisation, now in its 17th year of continuous publication, confirmed the restoration and extended its gratitude to all who supported the effort. The platform thanked readers, politicians, journalists, and others from various fields who expressed concern during the suspension.
Kashmir Life puts on record the appreciation for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for considering its appeal. It also acknowledges the guidance provided by Apar Gupta, founder of Internet Freedom Foundation, for helping navigate the process and steps that led to the account’s reinstatement.
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) was also helpful during the process.
