SRINAGAR: The family of a 35-year-old vendor from Sopore staged a peaceful protest on Thursday, seeking information about his whereabouts after he mysteriously went missing in Delhi 19 days ago.
The family of Shabir Ahmed Shah said he had traveled to Delhi on December 31 last year to purchase supplies for his business. However, they lost contact with him on February 16. “Since then, there has been no trace of him,” a family member said, urging authorities to intensify efforts to locate him.
Shabir’s wife said that they had been in regular contact until February 16, after which all communication ceased. She made a heartfelt appeal to the government and police authorities to intervene and ensure his safe return.
The family has already filed a missing person report at Nabi Karim Police Station in Delhi. Delhi Police confirmed that they have circulated information about Shabir’s disappearance and are actively investigating the case.
