SRINAGAR: Police Station Batmaloo has issued a child safety advisory to schools and madrasas in the area, asking institutions and parents to adopt precautionary measures to ensure the safe movement of children.
Under the advisory, school and madrasa administrations have been directed not to hand over children to any third person. Children may only be released to their parents or an authorised vehicle driver or attendant.
The institutions have also been asked to ensure that young children do not leave the premises on their own.
Police advised parents against sending small children to schools or madrasas unaccompanied and urged them to take appropriate safety precautions.
The Station House Officer, Police Station Batmaloo, has further requested school and madrasa authorities to circulate the advisory widely in institutional and private groups to ensure that the instructions reach parents and guardians.
