Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort on countries 71st Independence Day has said that Kashmir problem can only be solved by embracing Kashmiris.
He said that Kashmir will make progress only if the people of the nation come together.
“Na goli se, na gaali se, Kashmir ki samasya suljhegi gale lagaane se,” he said Abuses and bullets won’t solve the Kashmir issue, embracing Kashmiris will.
Apparently, with refrence to militancy in Kashmir, he said that “there is no question we will be soft on terrorism or against terrorists”
Tensions have gripped in Kashmir following “attempts to scrap” state’s special status.
Days before Chief Minister Mehooba Mufti called upon Prime Minister and discussed with him about the situation.
