SRINAGAR
People of Qazigund in south Kashmir Friday morning staged a sit in on the rails resulting in the halting of the Kashmir train.
The protesters including men and women farmers were alleging that they have not received the compensation which was promised to them before building the railway station.
Railway authorities had very early taken land from the local farmers to build the railway station.
Sources said that the protests resulted in the halting of Srinagar-Baramulla rail on Friday.
