SRINAGAR

Kashmir valley remained shut on Saturday against the Tral killings and arrest of Hurriyat leaders.

Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat (G) chairman who returned from New Delhi on last Wednesday, had asked people to observe the strike.

A youth was killed and several others injured early Saturday morning during a protest demonstration at Narbal on outskirts of Srinagar city.

Business establishments, schools, colleges and public transport remained off while private traffic is plying normally on Srinagar roads though situation in Narbal area is still tense.

Similar reports were also received from other Kashmir parts.
