The minimum temperatures throughout the valley and the Ladakh region remained several notches below the freezing point despite partially cloudy weather.
Srinagar recorded minus 0.1 as the minimum temperature, while Pahalgam recorded minus 7.1.
“At minus 10 as the minimum temperature on Friday at Gulmarg was the coldest place in the valley, while Kargil at minus 10.2 was coldest in Ladakh region,” an official of the Met Department said.
“Weather is likely to remain cloudy and dry in the state till Sunday and this could bring in some improvement in the night temperatures during this period,” the official noted.
