SRINAGAR: Amid inclement weather, the government is likely to extend the winter vacation for schools in the Kashmir division until March 5.
Education Minister Sakina Itoo said the government will hold a meeting on the matter tomorrow.
“Given the prevailing weather conditions, we will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss the extension of winter vacations for schools in the Kashmir division,” Itoo said.
The minister further said that the decision will be taken with the health and safety of students in mind.
“If weather conditions do not improve, we may extend the vacation for primary-level classes by five days. In case of further snowfall, we will consider extending it until March 5 for all classes,” she added. —(KNO)
