SRINAGAR: Tuesday was the hottest day of the season so far in Kashmir when the maximum temperature rose to 34.3 degrees Celsius in Srinagar, an official said.
Speaking to Kashmir Life, Deputy Director Meteorological department Mukhtar Ahmad said that the district Srinagar recorded a maximum of 34.3 degrees Celsius of temperature in the day.
He said that south Kashmir’s Khudwani remained the hottest place in the Valley recording 34.4°C maximum temperature. The tourist resort Gulmarg in north Kashmir was the coldest place recording 25°C maximum temperature.
He added that the maximum temperatures across Jammu and Kashmir are likely to rise further during the next few days as the weather is expected to remain dry till June 11.
