Chairman Democratic Freedom Party and Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) leader Shabir Ahmed Shah has thanked all those individuals, groups and organizations who have voluntarily rescued various families from flood affected areas.

According to spokesperson of amalgam, Shah praised all those brave and courageous Kashmiris who have put their own lives on risk and rescued not only Kashmiris but non locals as well.

According to a statement issued to KNS Shah has stressed upon the coordination among the groups and organizations that are providing relief materials to flood affected people and urged them to work on broader level under single platform to cater local needs.

He has also thanked all those people who are helping out in distributing relief among needy persons and termed it a difficult job for volunteers to dispense relief to the deserving people.  Shah opined that relief can be handed over to Mohalla committees and other in-charge persons of various mosques so that relief can reach to deserving persons.Shah has also stressed upon the people that relief from South Kashmir, Jammu, Poonch, Rajouri and Banihal should be distributed in a well-coordinated manner. Shabir Shah was himself monitoring relief operations in Jehangir Chowk, Solina, Alluchi Bagh, Tengpora and other adjacent areas. He has also appealed public to help Relief-Committees so that food, medicines and other day to day needs can be fulfilled till situation returns to normal.
