Kashmiri Pandit organisation, Panun Kashmir has welcomed the United States decision to declare Hizbul Mujahideen commander Syed Salahuddin as a “global terrorist”.
Panun Kashmir has expressed “great satisfaction” on the US administration move on Salahuddin, who also projects himself as chairman of terrorist conglomerate — United Jihad Council, reported tribuneindia.com.
“We have always maintained that movement in Kashmir is a radical Islamic insurgency and move of declaring Salahuddin as a global terrorist is a step in the right direction,” said Panun Kashmir chairman Ashwani Chrangoo.
He said the move was significant politically as it completely equated the so-called ‘azadi’ movement in Kashmir to terrorism.
