A Sharda University student from South Kashmir town of Islamabad has risen to prominence in Delhi-NCR by excelling in co-curricular activities.

Shah Saaib Ahmed Rabbani, a B Tech 4th year student, held the position of “Convener” in North-India’s largest university festival “Chorus 2016”.

‘Chorus’ is the annual fest of Greater Noida-based Sharda University which has 8,000 students from 55 countries as well as most of the Indian states.

The entire fest is organized by the students for which the university forms a team of 500+ students. Saaib Ahmed led this team and successfully convened the seventh edition of the festival which saw a whopping 1,200+ registrations and participations from 80 colleges and universities of North India. The number of registrations was much higher than any of the previous editions of Chorus bringing laurels to everyone in the university. The university administration and faculty members have congratulated Saaib Ahmed and his team for making the event a grand success.

Chorus 2016 took place from 10 to 13 March at the Sharda University Campus and saw scintillating performances by celebrities like of Kanika Kapoor, Jassi Gill, Babbal Rai, Lost Stories and DJ Ray.

Chorus 2016 also created a buzz in cyber space. The Facebook page garnered nearly 30,000 likes. The event lineup was something which everyone has been waiting for with bated breath. Rowdies, Treasure Hunt, Battle of Bands, Mosaic Bolt, Clash of Titans, Gully Cricket, Sur Sartaj, Mr &Miss Glamour, Nukkad Natak and Celebrity Nights were some of the exciting events. (CNS)
