A meeting was conducted at Hurriyat headquarter  Rajbagh Tuesday to take the stock of the political situation arisen in the aftermath of the ‘martyrdom’ of  Muhammad Afzal Guru.

The participants paid flying tributes to the ‘martyr’ Guru and resolved that the Kashmiris would never accept slavery come what may. This tragic chapter of the Kashmir freedom struggle, participants said proved that Kashmiris wont be repressed on gun point or unleashing state sponsored terror.

The APHC participants  strongly rejects the politics of domination on one another. They said it would prove fatal for the freedom struggle. Further the APHC also said that they would be distancing themselves from the politics of conflict since it wont be in the common Kashmiri interest.

“The Hurriyat leadership believes that aspirations are the property of public. Hence, its each facet should be taken into consideration to protect it at each level,” read the statement issued to media.

During the meeting, the participants informed, “APHC delegation has been in contact with the family members of shaheed Afzal Guru. The participants said it has been communicated to the family of shaheed that they should take into confidence the Hurriyat leadership so that they don’t feel any hindrance in their future proceedings.”

Expressing serious concern over the detentions, beatings, and raids, the participants said that apart from political, there are some people with vested economic interests who are responsible for this.”The APHC has taken strong notice of the issue and said government is directly responsible for such incidents.”

The participants also paid tributes to the ‘martyrs’ of watergam and sumbal. They also paid tributes to the lady at Kulgam who passed away.
