At least six Jammu and Kashmir Police cops were injured when a grenade was lobbed at a Police Station in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Police sources said that a grenade was lobbed at Yaripora police station around 5:30 PM today.

“Four cops were injured and they are being shifted to Islamabad hospital,” a top cop said.

Earlier, intense stone-pelting and tear gas shelling was going on in the area.

Government imposed strict curfew in Kashmir since Friday dawn to disallow assembly of people, however, people defied restrictions at various places and held protests.

People at various places offered Qanoot-e-Nazlah and held prayers seeking resolution of issues.
