SRINAGAR

One more youth was shot dead on Friday during protests when army opened fire in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports reaching here said that protests were going on Drugmulla area of Kupwara district.

Local correspondent reports said that a teenage boy, who was identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Ganie, was killed when army directed bullets against protestors.

“Two more are injured,” they said. “There was no ambulance available in the area and the injured was shifted to Srinagar in a private vehicle.”

The reports said that there is complete breakdown of communication network in the district and people are not able to clear the confusion created by “rumour mongers”.

Meanwhile, reports are coming from Hatmulla and Nutnussa saying that stone pelting was going on in the area.
