Pakistan Peoples Party chairperson and Bhutto family scion, Bilawal Bhutto on Thursday telephoned Hurriyat Conference (m) chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and expressed his “support for the people of Kashmir”.
Bilawal said during his talk with Mirwaiz that PPP would continue to support the people of Kashmir. He also condemned the killing of unarmed Kashmiri people.
“As a further show of support for the people of Kashmir, Bilawal called upon his party workers to protest all over the country tomorrow,” a news report said this afternoon.
Violence erupted in Kashmir over the past six days as 40 innocent and unarmed Kashmiri civilians were killed by forces. Curfew has been imposed in valley as the Kashmiris continued their strike against the killings.
Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq were placed under house arrest while Mohammad Yasin Malik is detained in a Police Station. Hurriyat representatives extended their strike till July 15, Friday.
