Intense clashes erupted in North Kashmir’s Palhallan and Dhobiwan areas.
Local sources from Palhallan said that forces had to open fire in air to disperse the protestors, however, the youth resorted to stone pelting.
“The forces resorted to aerial firing and intense tear gas shelling,” sources said, “however, youth resisted and reacted sharply in which a few cops were injured.”
Reports said that a motorcycle was burnt down in the clashes. However, it was known to whom the bike belonged to.
Meanwhile police sources said that clashes erupted in Dhobiwan Kunzer area in which some persons were injured.
“Among 7 cops, SDPO Kunzer and an Sub-Inspectro were injured during clashes,” sources said. However, due to government enforced communication breakdown it couldn’t be confirmed whether there was injury on the protestors’ side.
