SRINAGAR
Adil Ismail, correspondent of All India Radio (AIR) for North Kashmir’s Bandipora district has been awarded for the annual award in the category of “Best PTC North Zone” for 2011, at the Akashwani Annual Awards 2011 ceremony held at Auditorium of National Agriculture Science Centre Complex , New Delhi.
The awards are given annually to felicitate the awardees of All India Radio in various categories. In the Media category, Adil Ismail of district Bandipora was adjudge as best part time correspondent in the North Zone.
Apart from being felicitated with Akashwani Award 2011, a trophy, meritorious certificate and cash award was given to him in the presence of Manish Tewari, union minster of State for Information & Broadcasting, Mrinal Pandey, Chairperson Prasar Bharti; Jawahar Sircar, CEO Prasar Bharti, L D Mandloi, Director General All India Radio.
