Scores of Managers of various Medicine supplying companies in the Valley protested in the press colony against the Spurious Drug Scam on Saturday.
Chanting slogans against the officials involved in the scam, the protesting Managers demanded dissolution of Central Purchasing Committee (CPC) .( The committee appointed by the government that orders the purchase of medicine)
“We demand the dissolution of CPC and an inquiry by an independent agency not less than CBI,” president of the Pharma Managers Welfare Club, Wasim Paul told reporters.
The protesting Managers alleged that the officials investigating the scam are involved in the Spurious Drug Scam.
Holding Placards reading “We want justice, don’t kill patients,” the protestors questioned, “How the persons involved in the drug scandal can investigate it?”
